Prescription Drug Addiction

                           WHAT IS OXYCODONE ?

Oxycodone is a narcotic pain reliever similar to morphine, used to treat moderate to  severe constant
pain on a 24 hour basis, and is not limited to treating post-surgical pain. The most important thing you
should know about oxycodone is that is addictive when used on a long term basis, should never be shared
with another person and should be used only for the purposed it was prescribed for. It can also cause
side effects that may impair thinking or reactions. Avoid doing anything that requires alertness and
concentration, including driving. Avoid alcohol use when taking Oxycodone, and tell your doctor if the
prescribed dose seems to stop working or become less effective. Do not stop taking it suddenly, which
could result in withdrawal symtpoms of anxiety and insomnia. Avoid using this medication if you are
allergic to morphine, darcocet, percoset, vicodan and lortab or have allergies to cough medicine.
